CINNAMON ROLLS | Delicious & Healthy VEGAN Recipe for Valentine’s Day

CINNAMON ROLLS: To celebrate Valentine’s Day we have a very simple and delicious vegan recipe. Glazed Cinnamon Rolls, made with a potato base to get a light and fluffy, perfect to celebrate with your soul mate, your pet, or whatever you please. Very economic and easy to make.
Let’s see how to make these cinnamon rolls step by step.

– 210 gr Potatoes with skin
– 240 ml Vegetable Milk
– 10 gr Dry Yeast (1 packet)
– 2 tbsp Wheat Flour
– 70 gr Vegan Butter
– 120 gr Sugar (brown or other)
– 1/2 tsp Salt
– 1 tbsp Ground Flax
– 2 tbsp Water
– 500 gr Wheat Flour
– 2 tbsp Vanilla Extract


– 80 gr Sugar (brown or other)
– 2 tbsp Cinnamon powder
– 90 gr Vegan Butter
– 2 tbsp Water


– 250 gr powdered Sugar
– 5 tbsp Vegan Butter
– 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
– 2 tbsp Vegetable Milk (warm)


– Make the leavened foam
– Cook the potatoes with enough water. When it starts to boil let it cook for about 30 to 40 minutes
– Peel them while they’re hot (make sure you don’t burn your hands) and use a potato masher or a fork to smash them
– Put 120 ml of milk in a medium size cooking pot and when it starts to boil add the puree and mix it
– Add the butter and the sugar and let it cook
– Add the salt and turn off the heat
– Pass the mix through a stainer while it’s hot to eliminate the potatoes’ lumps and let it cool down just a bit
– Meanwhile, make the flaxseed egg and let it rest
– Add flour to the potatoes mix, the yeast foam, the flaxseed egg, and the 2 tbsp of vanilla extract
– Mix the dough with a spatula and just then you can mix it with your hands
– Put some flour in the table and knead it for about 10 minutes
– Put the flour in a bowl, the dough, cover it with cling film, and let it rest for 1 hour
– Put it in a warm place in the kitchen
– Meanwhile, mix the stuffing sugar and the cinnamon
– Put some more flour in the table, and stretch the dough in a rectangular form – about 0,2 inches thick – with a rolling pin
– Spread the butter throughout the dough and then add the sugar and the cinnamon
– Don’t press the dough too much while you roll it
– Cut the dough into pieces and put it in trays, making sure to leave some room between the rolls
– Cover the trays again and let it rest for about 30 minutes
– Put it in a preheated oven at 180 ºC for about 30 minutes
– Meanwhile, let’s make the topping, mixing all the ingredients very well
– When the rolls are ready let them cool down a bit and then add the topping.
